Derbyshire Children and Young People's Health Promotion Programme supports health and wellbeing promotion for children and young people aged 0-19 years.

We actively encourage parents and carers to support and become involved with the work that is taking place in children's centres, schools, community venues etc to ensure the best possible outcomes for their children and the whole family. The involvement of parents and carers is crucial if we want children and young people to embrace a healthy lifestyle.

Your involvement will benefit your child and give you the chance to find out more about what is happening in your community and to meet other parents.

You could get involved by registering with your local children's centre, joining the schools parent-teacher association, volunteering to support youth groups, signing up with Change4Life or becoming involved in community activities.

It may be that you are looking for help or advice to support your child. You can access information on a range of topics including bullying, body image, self-harm, sex and relationships, healthy eating, getting active, self-esteem and smoking.
